Undying-kin of Gravensteen

In the bleakness of the frozen ashen north, Gravensteen emerges amid ashen desolation, its banner—a silver chalice—looming high, casting ominous shadows over the realm. Governed by the Dark Lord of Gravensteen, their haunting mantra, "Service in Life - Service in Death," echoes through nightmares. While not wholly evil, they are eternal beings, unaffected by healing magics and immune to poison. They hold a vampiric pallor, bearing souls that spark with a lifeforce from beyond the grave from a curse long forgotten. Often engaging in internal strife within eerie covens, the Undying wield longswords, greatswords, or glaives, commanding their armies in isolation, where only shadow and ice hold sovereign sway. The chilling desolation of Gravensteen serves as a testament to the enduring power, a looming presence that cloaks the north in perpetual gloom.

As the arcane storms subsided, the once-indifferent Gravensteen, the icy throne of the Undead, underwent a profound transformation. The stoic visage of the Undead shifted in response to the havoc wrought by Stormstalkers upon humanoid realms, leaving a trail of devastation. Emerging from the desolate frozen wastes, the Undying, fragmented and propelled by diverse motives, ventured forth into the realm of the living.  Some Undead sought to replenish their waning legions, casualties of internal feuds. Other covens, fueled by insatiable hunger, scoured distant realms for vital sustenance. Those aware of the imminent threat posed by Shadowstalkers embarked on a perilous mission to curtail their ruthless slaughter, recognizing the looming danger casting its shadow upon all of Anduin.

The arcane storms, once disregarded, unfurled a labyrinthine tapestry of motivations, compelling the Undead to navigate a precarious dance between internal discord and the external perils that now clamored for their attention. In this intricate web of choices, the Undead found themselves entangled, torn between rebuilding their own realms and confronting the broader dangers that lurked in the aftermath of the arcane turmoil.
